In September 2006 Fieldhead Campsite Warden Mark Reeves along with his dog, Ziggy, and two other Edale residents, Geoff & Shane Townsend walked the Pennine Way.

They set off from Kirk Yetholm and, camping along the way, arrived home just under three weeks later. "It was a bit of a busman's holiday, " said Mark, "but we had a brilliant time and a really warm welcome when we walked back into Edale."
